A year ago I created my website and started writing the blog Adventures in Life. It is a joy to sit each week and think about what I want to say to you. I love that my thoughts reach around the world, and hope that they will inspire people to try new experiences, read new books, and consider new places and ways to travel.
To date, I have published 59 blogs on a variety of planned and unplanned subjects. I also started an instagram page for the photos I take throughout my travels and daily life https://www.instagram.com/adventures.in.life2024/.

I love to travel and am learning to push myself to try things that ordinarily would make me nervous. Fishing the Esnogi in Canada this past summer was a challenge. Watching both my daughters branch out into the world as young women was equally daunting. Travelling around Japan by cruise ship was a new experience that brought me new friends and beautiful photos.

Navigating health issues will likely remain a topic I return to since I can't stop the aging process, and that's okay. I will gladly continue to pass along to you what I learn from my doctors appointments and discussions. Hopefully, something I share will help you navigate aging a little more easily.

Thank you for coming along on this journey with me and letting me be a part of your weekly reading material.
I am particulary thankful to my family, Brian, Roberta and Sofie who are my biggest supporters and grammarians each week. Thank you Team Fisher for giving me the time to write and letting me share your stories.

Maisie and Winston are my star canines. Their antics fill me with an endless supply of stories. Maisie, sitting on my chest this morning, looked deeply into my eyes, conveying her frustration that there weren't more stories about her and Winston.
I reassured her that for three months in 2026 there would be countless stories of our adventures with them in Wales, England, and Scotland. There will be stories of their first plane trips, joining us at local pubs, and walks in the moors, dales and glens.
I also reminded Maisie, and Winston who by that time had jumped on the bed to join us, that we would be going to the StinkEye in Wales where they would meet their UK cousins. This seemed to placate Maisie, because she turned around once and jumped off the bed.
Looking ahead
A year ago, my hope was fifteen followers with at least two people who were unknown to me. Today I have 50 subscribers and more than a handful I do not know. Wow! I still refuse to advertise and will never share your emails with anyone.
In the year ahead I plan to create a public Facebook page to reach a larger audience. There will also be new connections to Instagram and Pinterest and an email address where you can reach out to me directly.
Finally, if there is a subject you would like me to tackle, or a question you would like to ask, simply leave a comment at the end of a story and I will gladly respond. Shameless plug, please share my blog with others who you think might enjoy Adventures in Life. Go ahead and share an article on Facebook.
Have a great week, and Happy Thanksgiving to my U.S. readers.
