The Cornish Campsite Murder by Fiona Leitch

The Cornish Campsite Murder by Fiona Leitch

Are you planning a long drive? If so, The Cornish Campsite Murder by Fiona Leitch is an easy listen that will happily fill the time.

Jodie ‘Nosey’ Parker is a former British cop living near Cornwall who just loves to solve a good murder.  When she and her fiancee, DC Nathan Withers, go to a weekend music festival to help a friend sell food, a murder takes place.

Even though the couple is on vacation, Jodie and Nathan just cannot help solving the crime. Painting mental pictures of windswept English cliffs and hearing the narrator's British accent telling the story, we almost forgot we were driving.

Yes, the story is predictable, but there is something very entertaining about driving down highways in the U.S. while listening to a Cornish murder mystery.  I-95 becomes less tedious when Jodie instructs Nathan on the finer points of brushing an egg wash over the pasties. They are selling these sweet and savory pies from their caravan to music goers.

Overall, The Cornish Campsite Murder is a wonderful light read.  Fiona Leitch has written several mysteries and we look forward to listening to another one sometime soon.
