Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke
The highly talked about novel of the summer.

Caro Claire Burke’s debut novel Yesteryear is the book to read and discuss this summer.  Set in Idaho, the novel blends contemporary issues, elements of fantasy, and a behind-the-scenes look at life as an influencer. This will make an excellent book club pick.

I had a long plane ride ahead of me and this book filled the hours perfectly.  It is one of those books that caused me to put it down and scratch my head on more than one occasion. And the ending is not something that I would ever have imagined.

Natalie Heller Mills is a conservative Christian married woman who considers herself a 'traditional wife', after she starts a podcast that goes viral.  As the followers multiply at an astounding rate, Natalie’s life undergoes dramatic changes, impacting everyone around her.

This book is loaded with topics that will spark discussions, whether at the beach or over dinner with friends.

As a first-time novelist, Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke really hit the mark on so many levels.  In my opinion, this book is definitely worth all the buzz it is receiving.  I can’t wait to sit down and discuss this with my friends over coffee and at book club.
